Dry Cleaning Amusements

They say the brain's a muscle, and muscles need exercise. Bagging was getting boring, so today I decided to try memorizing all the different shirt brands and number of each brand that came through. By the end, I had: 3 Arrow, 1 Asole & Bodone, 3 Banana Republic, 3 Boston Saddle, 5 Brooks Brothers, 4 Calvin Klein, 1 Canali, 1 Club Room, 2 Dockers, 3 Eagle, 2 Eddie Bauer, 4 Ermenigildo Zegna, 1 Etro, 1 Express, 1 Faconable, 8 Gap, 4 Geoffrey Beane, 2 H & M, 2 Hugo Boss, 5 Ike Behar, 2 J. Crew, 1 John Varvatos, 4 Jos A. Bank, 3 Joseph Abboud, 7 Kirkland, 2 Kenneth Cole, 1 L. L. Bean, 2 Land's End, 1 Metropolitan View, 3 Nautica, 11 Nordstrom, 2 Olean John, 4 Perry Ellis, 3 Pronto Uomo, 10 Ralph Lauren, 2 Ted Baker, 6 Tom James, 1 Tommy Bahama, 4(?) Tommy Hilfiger, 3 Van Heusen, 4 Woodworth, 1 Zanali. It's not entirely accurate, there are at least 3 more brands that I'm forgetting because they're not very mainstream. Also, I kept losing count on Tommy Hilfiger. There might have been as many as 7... I guess Tommy and I don't get along very well.

When I didn't feel like memorizing shirts, I would attempt to memorize some of the LEED Credits. So in some way, the memorization exercise is helping me become a more sustainable designer? (In the large scheme of things.)

I was doing pretty good, I thought. And then my dad got in one order of 36 shirts (all from one person), and another order of 28 shirts (a father and a son). At that point, I gave up for the day.

This concept of having your shirts cleaned professionally is completely foreign to me as a EE/CS engineer. :P
I think I only recognized 16 of the brands you listed. Interesting how high Kirkland is...

Your dry cleaning job sounds horribly boring...maybe some interesting podcasts or audio books could enhance your day?
