Korean Wife(s)?

In order to minimise my surface area in contact with shop Tati's newly polyurethaned floors, I was sitting gingerly, cross-legged on a chair inside. A certain gentleman walks by, one of J's multifarious customers, they chat about bikes etc. At one point, he looks in my direction and asks: "oh, is that your wife?"

...

This means one of 3 possibilities:
1) I look like a 40+ Japanese woman.
2) J looks like the type of person who marries 20 something year old women.
3) Asian people all look the same and ageless.

But the sad part is, apparently someone asked the same thing about Liz! Yikes.
