The Aftermath ...

First actual running workout in 5 years.

Susan was our fearless leader in team Tati's pursuit of better running fitness. It actually helps in cyclo-cross to a certain extent (for example, last Sunday, they had to run up 2 flights of stairs). We did one lap easy, 3 laps of fartlicks, lunges, balance drills, and 800m tempo, and I'm TOAST. The lunges really killed me. Longest 2 minutes of my life.

The upshot? Today, I mumble innocuous profanities and sound like an 80 year old arthritic whenever I stand up because my hamstrings burn. However! I am glad to be running again. (Once upon a time, B.C., as in Before Cycling, I was a runner.)

I'm suffering through my running pains right now as well. >_< Got an "off" week of 10 miles today...
