The main reason for creating this blog is to be able to keep in touch with everyone this summer when I bike across the country and build affordable housing along the way. You can read my bio here:

Now that I've had a chance to catch my breath after studio ("skiing" and "snowboarding" in Wisconsin - Priya, the quotes are just for you and your Rockies), I've finally started to seriously think about raising $4000 for this quest.
So I'm looking around for a place to sit in the Intelligentsia Coffee Shop on Randolph, when some gentleman offered his table since he was leaving soon anyway. I take out my Bike and Build Participant Manual, and he immediately asks me what it's about. Turns out, he'd biked 500 miles to raise money and awareness about AIDS back when he graduated from college. He wished me luck.
Long distance cyclists are everywhere.
More to come soon! Cheers folks.
PS, the serif-font is just for you, Laurel.

A whole bunch of reedies are biking from portland to LA this may. I was thinking about doing it but decided that I didn't feel like biking down 101, as it is kind of a scary mountany place to a midwesterner. Clearly you are much more manly than I am!
Also, great font.
