If I could hook up a network of brains to my own ...

I stopped by at Tati Cycle (http://www.taticycles.com/) yesterday, to see if I could either raise some funds, get sponsored, or get a discount on items, and the owner granted me the latter: now I have a baselayer and booties. Seems like a really nice guy. He suggested that I bring an old cashmere sweater for the cooler days: it looks fairly nice, it's warm, and it's breathable.

I have a growing list of people to ask for money ... awkward ... I'm really tempted to just fund myself, almost, by picking up a job on campus, but then again, I feel like that's kind of against the spirit of raising money. Or maybe not??? I remember a while back in AP European History class, we put together that magazine, and there were 2 contenders for fund-raising chair. One basically offered to have his parents pay for the entire thing, while the other scoffed and said that was nonsense. I suppose that's a little different though. At least I'd be working for the money.

Training indoors isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I'm really glad I was able to get a Cycle Ops trainer though. With rollers, I feel like I need to keep my mind in a state of Zen in order to be able to balance for the ride, and it's so taxing that I actually can't ride for that long. Been getting in a lot of "West Wing" episodes. I probably should keep to some kind of schedule or to Jamie's training plans, but I tend to be really bad at that. Generally, I simply try to get in at least 4 days of workouts. It's been tricky, especially with work starting.

Otherwise, bunch of Labbies got together to watch "Sweeney Todd" (so much stylized blood: blech) and club a bit last night. Freezing cold outside, but a fun night.

And, New Year's Even tomorrow !!! A full day of work at the office, but at least I have New Year's day off once again. Awesome.
