Green Roof !

I met with my professor from last semester, Professor Hammann, to tell him about Bike and Build and also because he said he had something to give me.

He was really excited about my ride. I should mention that he is also a huge cycling enthusiast who regularly rides 80+ miles on a ride with Prairie Cycle Club (PCC). And he had all sort of suggestions and concerns about sponsorship and gear.

As for what he had to give me, it was a token of his appreciation for the amount of green-roof research I did for my project last semester: a seedum/succulent plant! Awesome. He explained how hardy it was: he left it for 4 weeks in his office, and it still survived. Maybe this time, I won't kill a potted plant. (I seem to have bad luck with plants.)

Anyways, I had forgotten about asking Scott et al at Champaign Cycle about sponsorship/discounts, so I should try to remember to do that. If not, at least to put up a flyer about the ride in their store.
