Dirt.

I spent the last hour cleaning out the dirt, or more accurately, "soil" from my bike cleats.

Some interesting facts about this soil:*

1. It is amongst the most fertile worldwide because it was directly in the path of glacial flows during the last ice age.

2. It supports a subsidized agricultual economy in the U.S.
